Odia Asmita Boosts Bijaya

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi true to his promise on protecting Odisha’s ‘Asmita’ (Pride) has appointed an able Odia IAS Officer Dr. Bijaya Ketan Upadhyaya as the Director Odia Language, Literature & Culture Department.

In fact Dr.Upadhyaya is an honest, hardworking and emotional mandarin is the natural choice for this post as he has lot of interest in Odia Language, Literature and Culture.

In fact Dr. Upadhyaya is also allowed to remain in additional charge of Director, Odisha Paribar, which is the  one-stop point of contact and support system for Odias living in other parts of the country and across the world.

In its first and major reshuffle after forming government, the BJP government has appointed new Collectors in 20 districts.  

The General Administration and Public Grievance Department brought a notification in this regard last night.

As per the notification, Ashish Thakare, who is presently posted as the Collector and District Magistrate (DM) of Balasore, has been appointed as Secretary, Board of Revenue, Odisha, Cuttack.

Dilip Routrai Director Odia Language, Literature & Culture has been appointed as Collector & DM, Bhadrak.

Kamal Lochan Mishra, Collector & DM, Nabarangpur has been appointed as Executive Director, Odisha State Disaster Management Authority (OSDMA).

Nikhil Pavan Kalyan, Collector & DM, Jajpur has been appointed as Director, Soil Conservation and Watershed Development while Bijay Kumar Dash, Commissioner, Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) with additional charge of Vice Chairman, Cuttack Development Authority has been appointed as Gajapati Collector.

Smruti Ranjan Pradhan, who is now serving as Gajapati Collector has been transferred as Kendrapara Collector.

Nayagarh Collector Swadha Dev Singh transferred and posted as Additional Secretary to Government, Panchayati Raj & Drinking Water Department.

Parul Patawari, State Project Director, OSEPA with additional charge of Member Secretary, Mo School has been appointed as Rayagada Collector.  Dhenkanal Collector Amrit Ruturaj is the new Collector of Kandhamal.

The other new Collectors are—Siddeshwar Baliram Bondar (Sambalpur), Dattatraya Bhausaheb Shinde (Cuttack), Hema Kanta Say (Mayurbhanj), P. Anvesha Reddy (Jajpur), Ashish Ishwar Patil (Malkangiri) and Somesh Kumar Upadhyay (Dhenkanal), Dr. Subhankar Mohapatra (Nabarangpur), Suryawanshi Mayur Vikas (Balasore), J Sonal (Jagatsinghpur), Pawar Sachin Prakash (Kalahandi), Akshay Sunil Agrawal (Nayagarh), Manoj Satyawan Mahajan (Sundargarh), Kabindra Kumar Sahu (Deogarh) and Madhusudan Dash (Nuapada). 

Subrat Kumar Panda, an able senior OAS officer, Special Secretary to Government, Rural Development Department has been transferred and posted as Collector, Boudh.
