Bhubaneswar: East Zone Deaf cricket team has won Runners Cup in ‘IDCA, Fifth One Day National Zonal Cricket Championship.
Principal Secretary, Department of Social Security and Empowerment of the Disabled Bishnupada Sethi congratulated the runners for winning the Runners Cup by showing outstanding sportsmanship in spite of various adversities and challenges.
Today, the cricketers of East Zone Deaf Cricket team paid a courtesy call on Principal Secretary SSEPD Shri Sethi.
The players expressed their happiness for extending a helping hand to the Odisha Deaf Cricket Association by the Department of Social Security and Disability Empowerment Department of the state government.
It is worth mentioning that Northern Zone, Southern Zone, Western Zone, Central Zone and Eastern Zone participated in the championship.
