Bhubaneswar: Senior BJD Lawmaker Kalikesh Narayan Singhdeo too was disappointed with the Union Budget as Odisha has been ignored in the Budget.
“Special package of Rs 15,000 crore for Andhra Pradesh to build the capital. Rs 26,000 crore allotted to Bihar for infrastructure projects. Wonder what happened to double engine govt for #Odisha,” Shri Singhdeo’s Office said on X.
He said that denial of Special Category State status to Odisha is really a disappoinment. While Odisha, Andhra Pradesh and Bihar had been asking for Special Category, the two states got Special additional funds while Odisha’s demand was not considered,” he rued.
