Bhubaneswar: The State Government has appointed Arabinda Kumar Padhee as new Chief Administrator of Shri Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA).
In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 19 of Shree Jagannath Temple Act, 1954 (Odisha Act, 11 of 1955), the State Government do hereby appoint Shri Arabinda Kumar Padhi, IAS, as Chief Administrator, STA, Puri in addition to his present duties for the time being and until further orders in place of Sri V.V. Yadav,” read a notification issued by the Law Department.
Dr.Padhee is now Principal Secretary Agriculture and Farmer’s Empowerment and Handloom, Textiles and Handicraft Department.
Dr.Padhee is having experience in handling affairs of Shree Jagannatha Temple as he was posted as Chief Administrator of SJTA earlier.
As an ardent deovtee of Lord Jagannatha, he will be in an advantage position to handle the affairs of Srimandir and on going Rath Jatra smoothly, opined a veteran servitor.
