New Delhi: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and Deputy Chief Ministers K V Singh Deo and Pravati Parida have paid homage to the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi and former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee in New Delhi today.
Speaking to reports in Delhi, the Chief Minister said he was inspired by the leadership of Vajpayeeji from his childhood and later joined politics.
Later, Shri Majhi and his two deputies met Union External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar at his residence and they are scheduled to visit the Shree Jagannath temple at Tyagraj Nagar this afternoon and to attend a felicitation programme organized by Prabasi Odias at the Hauz Khas Shree Jagannath temple in the evening.
The Chief Minister has been in New Delhi since July 26 evening. On his first visit to Delhi after taking oath as Chief Minister of Odisha, Shri Majhi met President Droupadi Murmu, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Home Minister Amit Shah and several Union Ministers.
