Bhubaneswar: State BJP Spokesperson Sajjan Sharma said the BJD is making statements on River Mahanadi to cover up the corruption that took place in the name of Green Mahanadi.
BJD Government did not pursue any option seriously to resolve it, pointed out .
He had also stated that the previous BJD Government neither held any meeting with the Chhattisgarh government in the last 24 years nor took it up to the Central Water Commission (CWC).
The previous government has also failed to build a single barrage on Mahanadi in the past 25 years.
To cover up their own incapability, the BJD leaders are now making such statements.
Former CM distanced himself from the discussion to resolve the issue, Sharma added.
