Bhubaneswar: After taking oath as new Chief Minister of the State, Mohan Charan Majhi today went to New Delhi on a three-day official trip.
Two Deputy Chief Ministers, Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo and Pravati Parida have also accompanied the CM in this official trip to the national capital. They left for Delhi this evening.
The Chief Minister will meet President Droupadi Murmu, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar and Prime Minister Narendra Modi to discuss various issues related to the State.
They are also scheduled to meet Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari and Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan during the visit.
Besides, they will meet Union Minister and BJP President J P Nadda to discuss party affairs, sources said.
During this visit, the Chief Minister will draw the attention of the Central Government to the various issues of Odisha and seek cooperation for the development of the State.
