Bhubaneswar: Nearly One Lakh people including women, children and disabled persons from different parts of the State have met Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi since his assumption in the office.

Since assuming charge on June 12, the Chief Minister has been continuously interacting with the common people. From their homes to the temporary offices of the State Guest House, common people are getting a chance to meet their Chief Minister. There is no restriction for people from anywhere to meet the Chief Minister.

Today afternoon, many individuals, organizations, and common people came and met the Chief Minister at the temporary office of the State Guest House.

Among them, Arjun Nayak was one of them. Arjun has lost one of his legs in an accident.

The Chief Minister was deeply saddened to see him. After hearing about his problem, the Chief Minister consoled the teacher and helped him in drinking water with his own hands. Arjun could not believe his eyes. Tears fell from his eyes. He returned with hope, faith and hope. He returned home with happiness, joy, faith and hope.

A common man who meets the Chief Minister feels that the Chief Minister is also one of them.

In the previous government, it was a dream of a common man to be so close to the government. Today, in Mohan Majhi’s government, a common man can approach the Chief Minister and wish him well or talk about his problems. People can meet everywhere at home, outside, in various events. That is why immense joy and self-satisfaction is observed in their minds, officials said.

Till today, not a single person has been disappointed without meeting the Chief Minister, everyone is coming in line to meet the Chief Minister in an orderly manner and they are talking to each other.

As a Chief Minister, he has enough time for the people even amidst his busy schedule of government programs and meetings with government officials. Common people come and talk to the Chief Minister, take pictures and take selfies with him. The distance between the common people and the government has disappeared now.

The Chief Minister’s ease with the common people proves that his government is the people’s government. Not only common people, representatives of the government, various organizations, people with disabilities are coming and meeting the Chief Minister, all of them probably were waiting for such a change.

Everyone probably needed such a Chief Minister who would be happy and sad for the people and mingle with the people.

Responding to this love of the people, the Chief Minister said that in the last 24 years, people did not get a chance to tell the government about their problems. They did not get the justice they deserved.

“I came from an ordinary family and became the Chief Minister. Knows better what the problem is at the grassroots level. Getting along well with people will pave the way for solving lower level problems. So people are coming to meet the Chief Minister willingly,” he said.

People wanted development, wanted service, so they brought change. This government is the people’s government, the Chief Minister is also the Chief Minister of the people.

People come here to meet the CM, talk and hope to build a new Odisha. With the cooperation of the people, within the next five years, the 50-year-old problems of the people will be solved and their dreams of development will definitely be fulfilled, the Chief Minister asserted.
