JSW Cares Cyclists

Barbail: JSW Foundation has distributed 40 bicycles to the young footballers being trained under its guidance. This is a noteworthy initiative aimed at enhancing accessibility to sports education.

Recently, JSW distributed 20 bicycles at Jajang location and 10 each at Nuagaon and Narayanposhi areas. Mines managers and JSW Odisha Mines Division operational head were present during the distribution.

There are 170 young sports enthusiasts getting full training here at four different locations. These young trainees are being provided 360-degree holistic facilities with nutritional diets, football kits, good infrastructure and good training from experts.

Providing football training to the young generation is a highly anticipated program initiated by JSW aimed at improving and boosting sports skills. JSW has deputed four football coaches in four mine locations to train these youngsters. JSW is also collaborating with Bengaluru FC Rural Football Academy to provide excellent training to the young footballers from its DIZ areas in Odisha.

Football trainee Anjali Lohar thanked JSW Foundation for providing her with football coaching, which helped her secure a job in a football academy. Anjali said, “After joining this football academy, I have experienced overall growth in my life, both physically and mentally. I am also receiving assistance for my higher education. I am thankful to the foundation.”

Young footballer Ranjita said, “I aspire to work in the police department, and I am grateful to the JSW Foundation for offering me a good education and providing quality football training. The training is like another feather in my cap. I hope that I will achieve my goal.”

JSW is taking every step to create a holistic environment for sports. The construction of a mini football stadium in association with district authorities is another boost for the promotion of sports in the DIZ area at Jajang & gandal pada.

It should be noted that these young footballers have brought laurels to the state by securing medals in national-level games. Specifically, JSW Foundation-supported girl football players participated in national-level tournaments in the under-15 category, and most of them have made the state proud.
