Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to visit Odisha on 6 May to kick start his campaigning for Lok Sabha and Assembly polls in the State.
This will be the first visit of the PM to Odisha ahead of the election. The Prime Minister is scheduled to address a mega rally at Berhampur at 10 AM and another public programme at Nabarangpur at 12.30 PM, informed State BJP Spokesperson Golok Mohapatra.
It seems that BJP has put all focus on Odisha as two top leaders have already visited the State in the past week. Union Minister Amit Shah had addressed a public rally at Sonepur on 25 April.
BJP National President J P Nadda addressed a rally at Berhampur on last Sunday. Both the leaders strongly criticized the BJD Government and its style of functioning. They have alleged that the Government was corrupt and raised migration and other issues. Besides, they played the Odia Asmita card.
Now, Shri Modi is scheduled to address two rallies on 6 May. The Prime Minister has already spoken about Odia Asmita saying the Odia pride is in danger.
All eyes are now on the visit of the Prime Minister on coming Monday.
