Bhubaneswar: Anu Garg, Development Commissioner has advised budding IAS Officers to uphold the principles of inclusivity and equity. She was speaking to 6 IAS Officer Trainees of 2022 Batch and 8 IAS Officer Trainees of 2023 Batch of the Odisha Cadre.
These Young IAS Officers are currently undergoing training at Gopabandhu Academy of Administration and they called upon the Development Commissioner, Shrimati Garg on Saturday at LokaSeva Bhawan.
Principal Secretary Planning & Convergence, Chithra Arumugam, Additional Secretary Planning & Convergence Manish Kumar Agarwalla was malso present during discussion.
They were briefed comprehensively on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as well as the intricacies of the National Multidimensional Poverty Index. Alongside gaining insights into the initiatives spearheaded by the administration towards implementation of the Agenda 2030, the officer trainees were also familiarized with the various schemes and programmes under the Planning & Convergence Department.
Emphasizing the importance of citizen-centric governance, DC, Shrimati Garg urged the officer trainees to uphold the principles of inclusivity, equity and leave no one behind as they undertake their administrative responsibilities in various capacities.
Earlier in the day, the Officer Trainees also attended the visioning exercise of Odisha Construction Corporation (OCC), a Primier PSU under Department of Water Resources at Rajiv Bhawan.
