Bhubaneswar: The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) today formed a 38-member Manifesto Committee under the chairmanship of Berhampur MP Chandra Sekhar Sahu.
Legislators Debi Prasad Mishra, Pratap Deb, Sudam Marndi, and Padmanav Behera, former Rajya Sabha member Magala Kissan, and Kasturi Mohapatra, Editor of Utkal Prasanga and Odisha Review, are co-chairpersons of the panel.
Senior party leader Amar Patnaik was appointed as convenor of the Committee, while Rajya Sabha MP Sasmit Patra will be the co-convenor.
“The Committee will have discussions with various sections of society… and prepare a manifesto that will lead to transformation towards a ‘New Odisha, Empowered Odisha’,” BJD Supremo and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik said in an official notification.
The party has also sought inputs from people of the state. They can mail their inputs to <bjdmanifesto2024@gmail.com>, it added.
The general elections and assembly polls will be held in the State between May 13 and June 1.
