Bhubaneswar: Chief Secretary Pradeep Kumar Jena is impressed on the emphatic presence of Biju Patnaik National Steel Institute Stall organized in the National Green Metal Conference(NGMC) 2024.
Chief Secretary Shri Jena along with Member Secretary State Pollution Control Board (SPCB), Dr.K Murugesan visited the stall after inaugurating the National Exhibition, which was organized in a scientific manner.
NGMC, which was themed ‘Balancing the Metal Eco-Systems: Towards Green Sustainability’, organized on 6-7 February at Swosti Premium Bhubaneswar.
This impressive event is organized in association with the State Pollution Control Board, Odisha, and the Biju Patnaik National Steel Institute (BPNSI).
The NGMC and Exhibition also fostered knowledge exchange, contributing to the advancement of the mining and industrial sector and the overall progress of the metallurgical sector.
Large number of stalls were set up and BPNSI Stall was seen receiving big footfall, thanks to efforts of Team BPNSI led by Director Pritam S. Purkayasta.
BPNSI, Administration Chief, Rudhi Sundar Mohanty received Chief Secretary Shri Jena and Dr.Murugesan to the stall and briefed in details about the activities of National Institute, which is attracting greater attention.
Top Administrators including Usha Padhee, Principal Secretary Skill Development & Technical Education and Commerce & Transport also visited the Stall of BPNSI.
She was impressed on the arrangement of the stall and organization of NGMC, which presented a unique opportunity for industry and mining organizations to learn about the latest in climate change mitigation technologies, environmental monitoring, and data acquisition and storage.
Earlier Chief Secretary Shri Jena held detailed discussion with Chairperson BPNSI Ruchika Chaudhry Govil.
Shrimati Govil is the Additional Secretary in Ministry of Steel and she impressed upon Chief Secretary Shri Jena for provision of a campus site for BPNSI.
Shri Jena, who happy to share his positive mindset in this regard and now the Director BPNSI Shri Purakayasta will be moving with the State Government in this regard, said sources.
Shrimati Govil appreciated efforts of Director BPNSI Shri Purakayasta in scaling up the activities of the National Institute in presence of the Chief Secretary Odisha.
