Bhubaneswar: Union Government in Ministry of Environment Forest & Climate Change (MoEF&CC) has been engaged in generating awareness on New Forest Conservation Amendment Act.
Regional Office of MOEF&CC at Bhubaneswar organised a workshop to disseminate the provisions made in the New Forest (Conservation) Amendment Act at Hotel Mayfair, Bhubaneswar.
Chief Secretary Pradeep Kumar Jena graced the occasion as Chief Guest, ACS Forest Environment and Climate Change, Satyabrata Sahu graced the occasion as Guest Of Honor.
A T Mishra Deputy Director General of Forests (DDGF) Government of India outlined the point of deliberations.
The Chief Secretary stressed the need to work as a team. He advised to do make a balance between conservation and Development.
ACS FE&CC Shri Sahu welcomed the recent amendments of the New Forest Conservation Amendment Act.
A T Mishra, DDGF gave the welcome address and highlighted the new provisions made in the Act.
Sri Mishra gave a detailed power point presentation on the FC Act.
Delegates from Odisha , Jharkhand and West Bengal attended the event.
