Bhubaneswar: In an innovative step, the Tribal Children are being imparted education in their Mother Tounge based Multilingual Education (MLE), thanks to the overdrive of the Department of Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe.
Roopa Roshan Sahoo, Secretary SCST Development has taken the lead in this regard as she is sensitive towards the Tribal Children. Department of SCST Development has taken steps to prepare additional Reading Books for 21 Tribal Language for Class I to III.
A Four Days Long Training Program for the Resource Persons is being organized by the Department of SC ST Development.
Secretary SC ST Development, Shrimati Sahoo advised that the teachers serving in Primary Schools in Tribal Zones are needed to be provide 15 days long multilingual education training.
Shrimati Sahoo advised for preparation of digital educational materials and setting up of multi-lingual educational lab, mother language based additional reading books.
She advised for providing training to primary school teachers serving in Tribal Zones and helping them to scale up learning process in mother language.
In this regard, Secretary SC ST Development Shrimati Sahoo advised SCSTRTI to provide special and extensive training to primary teachers serving in the Tribal Zones.
Indramani Tripathy, Director Tribal Affairs and SCSTRTI, who is coordinating the efforts in this regard, said an official, adding there will be extensive training program for taking up such an educational initiative.
Around 30 Resources Persons from Undivided Districts of Koraput, Ganjam, Kandhamal participated in the Training Program.
Director Tribal Affairs, Shri Tripathy advised the officials of SCSTRTI to move accordingly for a success extensive training program.
Joint Director Tuku Barik, Deputy Director Manoj Nayak, SCSTRTI Assistant Director Sushree Madhusmita Sahoo, ATLC Research Assistant, Sanjukta Maharana and others joined the program.
