Bhubaneswar: Ace Mandarin, Aditya Prasad Padhi has been appointed as the Chairman of the Standing Committee of All India State Election Commissioners.
Mr.Padhi, who is the State Election Commissioner (SEC) of Odisha is one of the senior most SEC and has wide experience in handling the election related affairs.
In the All India State Election Commissioners Meet recently held at New Delhi Mr.Padhi was elevated to head the National Committee of SECs.
Mr.Padhi , the longest serving Chief Secretary of Odisha has been serving the SEC since August, 2019 and has been able to brought in several reforms in conducting Rural and Urban Polls by the State Election Commission.
Mr.Padhi has been able to conduct both Rural and Urban Polls in the State smoothly and now the elected representatives are conducting their business.
As Chairman of the Standing Committee of All India State Election Commissioners he will be visiting the states to meet the SECs and other dignitaries to gather knowledge on the reforms undertaken by the States for conduct of Rural and Urban Polls.
Several SECs are bringing in electoral reforms for conducting elections to Urban and Rural Local Bodies.
He will be sharing ‘Best Practices’ among the states being followed by respective the State Election Commissions, officials say.
