Window Clears 11 Projects

Bhubaneswar: Hemant Sharma, Principal Secretary Industries has said that the State Government has approved 11 investment proposals worth Rs. 2253.15 crore which will create employment opportunities for 3,817 persons, officials said.

Mr.Sharma said the State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA) led by Chief Secretary Suresh Chandra Mahapatra has approved the industrial projects at its e 111th meeting.

Principal Secretary, Industries, Mr.Sharma outlined the project proposals for consideration.

Giving nod to the project proposals, the Chief Secretary directed concerned departments to provide proactive facilitation to the approved units for their early grounding.

The proposals approved in the meeting were from various sectors like aluminum downstream, steel, food processing, infrastructure, oil and gas, information technology, electronic system designing and manufacturing. 

Principal Secretary Mr.Sharma said, “As most of the proposals are from downstream and manufacturing, the units will boost economic activities in their respective areas through generation of many indirect employment opportunities.”

A proposal of Fedders Electric and Engineering Limited to set up an Iron Ore Beneficiation plant in Sundargarh district at a cost of Rs 533.25 crore.

The proposal of Envirocare Infrasolution Pvt Ltd for establishment of DRI and pellet with beneficiation plant and ferro alloy plant of Rs 520 crore was also approved by the State Government.

Adani Enterprises Limited has proposed to set up a datacenter facility offering   cloud hosting services at a cost of Rs 500 crore in Khurda. This proposal also got SLSWCA nod.

Similarly, the proposal to set up a Billet/Color coated TMT and Filter Cake Handling System in Keonjhar district by Arya Iron and Steel Company Pvt Ltd with an investment of Rs 175.75 crore was also approved during the meeting.
