Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Regional Office of NABARD today signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with the State Government under Fisheries and Aquaculture Infrastructure Development Fund (FIDF).
The MoA was signed between Vishal Kumar Dev, Principal Secretary, Finance Department and C. Udayabhaskar, Chief General Manager, NABARD. The NABARD has agreed to approve an amount of Rs 119.80 crore to Odisha under FIDF in the initial phase.
During the occasion, CGM discussed various developments under fisheries and AH sector and FIDF operational modalities with the Principal Secretary, Finance.
He said that a dedicated Fisheries and Aquaculture Infrastructure Development Fund (FIDF) will help in creation of fisheries infrastructure facilities both in marine and inland fisheries sectors and augment the fish production of the State.
Dev opined that this historic moment will bring a revolutionary change in the Fisheries sector of the State and help to tap the potential. He assured all support from the State Government for this purpose.
