New Delhi: Senior BJP Leader and National Spokesperson, Sambit Patra on Wednesday appointed as the Chairman of India Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC), an official communiqué issued by Government of India.
Dr.Patra’s appointment was approved by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC).
According to an official order, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the Ministry of Tourism proposal to split the post of Chairman and Managing Director of ITDC into Chairman, ITDC, and Managing Director (MD), ITDC.
1990 Batch IAS officer, Ganji Kamala V Rao will hold the post of Managing Director of ITDC.
Appointment of Dr Patra Part-Time Non-Executive Director and Chairman of ITDC for a period of three years from the date of assumption of charge, or until further orders, whichever is earlier,” the order of Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) stated.
