Bhubaneswar: For the first after being inducted in the Union Cabinet, Railways and IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw will make a three-day visit to Odisha from 19 August.
Vaishnaw along with his Cabinet colleague Dharmendra Pradhan will arrive here at Biju Patnaik International Airport on 19 August morning. This will be the first visit of Pradhan to Odisha, after the Cabinet reshuffle on 7 July.
The Ministers, who were inducted in the Union council of ministers 7 July, have been instructed to go for Jan Ashirwad Yatra across 22 states from 16 August. As part of the yatra, the two ministers from Odisha are visiting the State, BJP sources said.
As per schedule, soon after reaching here, both the ministers will visit Puri to have darshan of lord Jagannath. They will also address a press conference here at the party office after returning from Puri.
Vaishaw will board a train for Rayagada in the evening and will move to Koraput on the next day after holding a meeting with BJP workers in Rayagada. On that day, he will spend the night at Koraput.
After that, the Railways Minister will visit Jeypore, Nabarangpur, Bhawanipatna on 21 August and stay overnight at Bhawanipatna. On the next day, he will visit Kesinga, Titlagarh, Patnagarh and Bolangir. He will return to Bhubaneswar on 22 August and then fly back to New Delhi, the source said.
Local MP Ramesh Majhi had earlier told the media that Vaishnaw will review the stalled Jeypore-Nabarangpur railway project in the district. He will also be briefed on the much-awaited Junagarh-Nabarangpur railway project.
Mr.Pradhan will hold meetings in various places of Bhubaneswar, Khurda and Cuttack. Another Union Minister from Odisha Bisweswar Tudu will also make a similar programme. The schedule has not been fixed yet, they said.
