61 Parakeets Set Free

Keonjhar: Satyabrata Sahu, ACS Forest Environment & Climate Change and Susanta Nanda, PCCF Wildlife have released 61 Alexandrine Parakeets.

ACS Shri Sahu and PCCF Wildlife Shri Nanda, who visited Tensa Forests on 19 April set free the Parakeets. They were rescued by the Wildlife Officials earlier.

These favorite green birds soon vanished in air after they were released by Shri Sahu.

These birds were bathed and were given Multi Vitamins, for which these winged guests were found active.

Shri Nanda, a true nature lover tweeted “Freedom is the oxygen of the souls”…

“Setting free 61 Alexandrine Parakeets with ACS Forests at Tensa, rescued as newborns in the month of January by Rourkela Forest Division”.

Shri Nanda has appealed “Please avoid caging the wild”.

Shri Sahu and Shri Nanda held wide ranging discussion with the DFOs of Keonjhar, Bonai, Rourkela, Sundargarh and other Divisions.

Projects of OPTCL, Railways, and other Government Sector was reviewed and on spot decisions were taken to expedite the matter, said a senior officer.
ACS Shri Sahu also reviewed Kendu Leaf, Forest Fire, and protection of wildlife issues and Shri Nanda briefed on wildlife conservation in these Divisions.
