5770 Cr Industrial Projects Launched

Bhubaneswar: In a major boost to Odisha’s industrialization drive, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi today inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for 14 transformative industrial projects with a cumulative investment of Rs 5,770 crore, promising to generate employment for 37,000 people across the State.

Today’s event is being organized within just 60 days of completion of the Utkarsh Odisha – Make in Odisha Conclave 2025, highlighting the State government’s commitment towards converting investment intents into actionable projects.

The landmark event unfolded through a three-location visit—New Industrial Estate Haldiapada, Industrial Estate Mundamba, and Khordha Textile Park Kalibeti.

The Chief Minister began the day where 11 projects were launched in the presence of industry leaders and State dignitaries.

The projects span a wide spectrum of sectors including Food Processing, Textile, Apparel & Technical Textile, Mechanical and Electrical Capital Goods, Packaging, and Refractory. Leading global and Indian firms such as Jupiter Tatravagonka Railwheel Factory Private Limited, Polimiroir India Private Limited, Shalimar Glass Works Private Limited, IFGL Refractories Limited, etc., were among the key participants.

Speaking on the occasion, Shri Majhi said, “These projects are more than industrial units—they are growth engines for our state, employment generators for our youth, and milestones on our journey to a Samrudh Odisha. We are building an Odisha that is productive, inclusive, sustainable, and globally competitive.”

The Chief Minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to ensuring speed, stability, and support for all investors, while ensuring that the benefits of industrialization reach every corner of the State.

Industries Minister Sampad Chandra Swain emphasized that the State’s focus on industrial infrastructure development, skill enhancement, and regional industrial diversification.

“This government is committed to attracting investment and also ensuring timely grounding and service delivery. With new industrial parks, modernized ITIs, and global partnerships in skilling and new-age manufacturing, Odisha is now ready to lead industrial resurgence in Purvodaya” the Minister said.

After the grand groundbreaking at Haldiapada Industrial Park, the CM proceeded to Khordha One Industrial Estate. There, he performed the groundbreaking for Nestlé India’s Mega Food Factory, followed by the inauguration of Varun Beverages Ltd.’s state-of-the-art production facility.

The grand culmination took place at New Textile Park, Kalibeti, with a site visit to the under-construction facility of Trimetro Garments India Pvt. Ltd. (EPIC Group) at the Khordha Textile Park, where the foundation stone was laid for workers’ hostel facilities to support apparel cluster development.

He also inaugurated operational units such as Varun Beverages at Khordha and performed groundbreaking of marquee projects including Nestlé India’s manufacturing unit, and Jupiter Tatravagonka Railwheel Factory Private Limited’s unit.
