Bhubaneswar: Massive Awareness Campaign on Cancer Care kick started with Z1 Residents Welfare Association (RWA) Members organized the movement through a Walkathon.
Z1 RWA is a Society of owners of 444 Z1 Advaita Apartments in Kalarahanga , Patia , Bhubaneswar.
They organised the walkathon for Cancer Care awareness program on 3 December from Z1 Main Gate to Nandankanan Gate covering a distance of 4 Kilometers.
The idea for this walkathon for awareness generation about Cancer and care of its patients was initiated by Anwita Divyanshi , a student of Class XII of KIIT International School staying in Z1 Apartments.
About 100 residents including children of Z1 Advaita Apartments joined the program .
They carried placards with messages about Cancer and its care and moved from Z1 Residential Complex Main Gate up to Nandankanan Main Entrance in the morning today and interacted with people on the way.
It was a walk for a noble cause for creating awareness about cancer and its care among people.
Anwita Divyanshi , the student who initiated the idea for this walkathon was complimented by people for her efforts .
Z1 Residents Welfare Association with its President Prof PC Mishra , Vice President Malay Panigrahi and Secretary Bidhu Bhusan Naik and senior citizens staying in Z1 Advaita Residential Complex faciltatated the entire program.
Veteran Rotarian Ashok Kumar Tripathy was the inspiration behind the noble cause, who has been all along espousing the cause of social issues, said a senior Member of Z1RWA.
