New Delhi: Principal Secretary Finance and Energy, Vishal Kumar Dev has appreciated the Odisha Pavilion as ‘One Of The Best’ Pavilions in India International Trade Fair (IITF).
Principal Secretary Shri Dev moved around the Stalls laid in Odisha Pavilion on 23 November and talked to the artists and was very happy with the exhibits, innovative products and artifacts.
Ace Mandarin was accompanied by senior officials during the visit of the State Pavilion.
Officials briefed Shri Dev about the layout and presented details on various stalls, which are unique and attractive.
Shri Dev was glad to see the enthusiasm of visitors in exploring the tribal art, craft and heritage of Odisha.
He also appreciated the fact that LIVE demo of tribal handloom and handicraft making finds many takers at the International Trade Fair.
Odisha Pavilion presented a special significance as it features a robust representation of tribal groups, with a notable focus on women actively participating in the production process.
Aligned with the Mission Shakti initiative, the Pavilion underscores women’s empowerment, highlighting Odisha’s commitment to gender equality and recognizing women as pivotal drivers of economic growth.
The IITF-2023 organized by the India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO) at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, from 14-27 November carries the theme “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam: United by Trade.”
The Odisha Pavilion embraces this theme, embodying the spirit of ‘Unity through Trade.’ It emphasizes trade as a unifying force that bridges diverse cultures and communities, including the representation of tribal groups.
