Bhubaneswar: Ahead of the third edition of Make in Odisha conclave to be held here from November 30 to December 4, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik is in Bangalore city to woo big IT investors from the Silicon Valley city of India.
The Chief Minister reached Bangalore on Tuesday afternoon on a three-day visit. He will hold one-to-one meetings with investors from IT sector, pharma industries and other Bangalore-based industrialists on Wednesday from 11 AM onwards, said Industries Minister Pratap Keshari Deb.
He said that a mega road show for investors will be organized on Wednesday evening to showcase the investment opportunities and business environment available in Odisha.
The State is looking forward to investments in information technology (IT), IT-enabled services (ITeS), ESDM (Electronics System Design and Manufacturing), textiles & apparel, food processing, e-vehicles, auto & auto components and aerospace & defence, sources said.
The Minister hoped that a large amount of investment will come to Odisha during the Make in Odisha(MiO) conclave this year in comparison to previous two editions..
Mr.Patnaik will return to Odisha Thursday. This will be the last investors’ meeting before the MiO Conclave. Earlier, the Chief Minister had participated in investors’ meetings at Dubai, New Delhi and Mumbai.
Mr.Patnaik met diplomats of over 30 countries in New Delhi to discuss the business opportunities in Odisha. In Mumbai, he met big industrialists like KM Birla, Anil Agarwal and Anand Mahindra and some top leaders from financial institutions.
