108Ft National Flag Flies High

Bhubaneswar: A 108 ft monumental national flag, installed by the Flag Foundation of India, was inaugurated today at Rama Devi Women’s University here.

Deputy Chief Minister K.V. Singh Deo inaugurated the flag post in presence of Speaker Surama Padhy, CEO of the Flag Foundation of India, Ashim Kohli, and Vice Chancellor of Rama Devi Women’s University, Aprajita Chowdhury. MP and President of the Flag Foundation of India, Naveen Jindal joined the program virtually.

The towering national flag, installed by the Flag Foundation of India, stands as a symbol of unity, pride, and respect for the nation. Positioned prominently within the university premises, this magnificent flag is set to become an inspiring landmark for students, faculty, and the larger community of Bhubaneswar.

Singh Deo commended the efforts of Naveen Jindal led Flag Foundation of India in installing monumental national flags across the country and spreading the spirit of patriotism. He also thanked Jindal for his decade-long legal battle, which secured the right for people to hoist the tricolour throughout the year with dignity.

Shri Jindal addressed the gathering virtually and highlighted the importance of the Tricolour in inspiring patriotism among citizens.

“The National Flag represents our collective spirit and unity. It is a source of pride for every Indian, and we are honoured to be a part of this initiative. The sight of the Tricolor soaring high will inspire generations of students to serve the nation with dedication,” said Shri Jindal.

Assembly Speaker Padhy also praised the effort of the Flag Foundation of India and Jindal for his contribution to the nation’s development.

The event saw enthusiastic participation from university students, faculty, and dignitaries, who witnessed the grand inauguration with pride and reverence.

Under his direction, the Foundation has been installing monumental national flags throughout India. This is the 158th Monumental National Flag installed by the Flag Foundation of India across the country and the eighth in Odisha.

This significant gesture reflects the Flag Foundation of India’s ongoing commitment to fostering national values, encouraging civic pride, and contributing to the overall development of the community.
