Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik Saturday said that the State Government is committed towards the development of micro, small and medium enterprises.
Speaking on the occasion of launching 11 types of services online in five programs for the benefit of entrepreneurs in the sector, the Chief Minister said that small, medium and micro industries are the basis for the development of our economy.
It is in this context that more people are employed, he said. Secretary to the Chief Minister Secretary VK Pandian coordinated the proceedings.
"Therefore, the state government will create a conducive environment for the full utilization of these industries and provide all possible assistance," the Chief Minister said.
Mr.Patnaik said that while the global economy has been impacted due to the Coronavirus epidemic the micro, small and medium enterprises in State are going through a very difficult financial situation and the State government will take steps to help them.
The Chief Minister said that despite the Covid Pandemic, Odisha has managed to attract Rs 1,17,000 crore in the last 10 months.
“It has created jobs for more than 53,000 young people,” he asserted while complementing the Department of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises for giving special attention to ensure that small, medium and micro entrepreneurs availed the benefits of various schemes of the government.
MSME Minister Divyashankar Mishra said that under the direction of the Chief Minister, the state Department of Micro, Small and Medium Industries was committed to mobilizing the industries of this category and facilitating the employment of the working class during the coronation.
The occasion was graced among others by Sanjay Bishwal of Cuttack District and Ashalta Pani of Angul.
Sujata spoke about how the government’s financial support during the pandemic protected the livelihoods of the workers.
Principal Secretary MSME Satyabrata Sahu presented an overview of the program while the Director Industries offered vote of thanks.

Chief Secretary Asit Tripathi, Development Commissioner Suresh Chandra Mohapatra, Secretary Finance Department Ashok Meena, Chairman, Odisha Small Industries Corporation Chinmay Sahu, Chairman, Khadi Board Sangram Paikrai were present at the function.
The 11 online services launched by the Department of Atomic, Small and Medium Industries under 5-T charter are micro, small business registration certificates for export promotion and marketing, price certificate certificates, laboratory standards. export promotion assistance, certificate renewal for micro, small enterprises, pre-supply and post-supply inspection services, recommendations for Khadi and Village Industries Board certification, subsidies to khadi industries by the Khadi & Village Industries Board, supply of goods to various departments by the Odisha Small Industries Corporation through business organizations, non-arrears certificates issued by the Odisha State Finance Corporation and by the Odisha State Finance Corporation settlement system.
Entrepreneurs can avail various government services and opportunities online at their convenience without coming to government offices. Notably, 12 important services of the MSME Department were available online earlier.
