In another step towards creation of employment opportunities through industrialization, State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA) has approved five investment proposals worth around Rs. 609 crore envisaging the employment potential of 1500.
The proposals were approved in the SLSWCA meeting held under the Chairmanship of Chief Secretary Asit Tripathy in the Lokseba Bhawan conference hall here today.
Giving nod to the investment projects, Chief Secretary Tripathy directed concerned departments to provide proactive facilitation to the approved units for their early grounding. Further, Tripathy directed the pollution control board to ensure installation of pollution containment measures in all the industrial units and follow zero pollutant discharge policy.
He also asked CMD IDCO Sanjay Kumar Singh to develop plug and play industrial facility for prospective investors in priority sectors.
In a big boost to the State’s metal downstream sector, Reliable Sponge Pvt. Limited will set up iron ore beneficiation plant of 2.5 MTPA and pellet plant of 2.0 MTPA, with an investment of Rs. 250 crore generating employment opportunity for about 250 people.
Growel Feeds will be setting up of a Shrimp/Prawn feed and fish feed manufacturing facility, with an investment of Rs. 65.82 crore. This will have the potential of creating employment opportunities for 700 people.
In the logistics& Infrastructure sector, Sravan Shipping Services will set up a logistics park at Jadupur (Mahakalapada Block) Kendrapada District, with a total investment of Rs. 100 crore which can provide employment to around 250 people.
Similarly, SLSWCA approved the proposal of Chilika Distilleries to set up 110 KLPD grain based distillery plant, with an investment of Rs. 99.97 crore. This is likely to provide an additional employment opportunities for 170 people.
SOM Distilleries & Breweries Odisha is going to set up 120 KLPD capacity distillery (Grain based) unit, with an investment of Rs. 93 crore and it will provide employment opportunities for 126 people.
Development Commissioner Suresh Chandra Mohapatra, Principal Secretary Industries Hemant Kumar Sharma, Secretary Skill Development & Technical Education and CMD IDCO Sanjay Kumar Singh, Principal Secretary Industry NB Dhal, Special Secretary Water Resources Archana Patnaik, Secretary Pollution Control Board Devi Debidatta Biswal along with senior officers from various departments participated in the deliberations.
