Rayagada, one of the 112 Aspirational District has been ranked 14th by the NITI Aayog, thanks to dogged pursuit of the District Administration Team ably guided by Pramod Kumar Behera, District Collector.
Central Prabhari Officer for Rayagada, Satyabrat Sahu, Additional Secretary in Government of India is happy over the success as the District has jumped from the position of 94th in April, 2018 to 14thin December, 2019.
Mr.Sahu, a sensitive mandarin has moved in Rayagada time and again to review various parameters and during last 20 months, he visited 8 times across the district and guided the District Administration, which has resulted in improvement in Delta Ranking, officials admit.
NITI Aayog has just released its Delta Ranking Report, in which Gajapati and Rayagada have improved their ranking to a big extent.
Although the district came into existence on the 2nd October 1992, the District is covered with hilly terrain with most of the people belonging to SC & ST and BPL category and most of the area are with LWE affected has imporved a lot in Education, Health Care and Infrastructure Development.
Besides all the parameters, Health & Nutrition, Financial Inclusion & Skill Development, Education and Basic Infrastructure are in consistently showing improvement trend.
Intervention in Districts by District Administration like innovations taken under “Pallire Pragati Abhiyan (DRDA Rayagada’s own Innovative Theme)” has brought in improvement in its ranking.
At least six Anganwadi Centres in each Gram Panchayat(GP) have been provided with are with Solar Electrification which includes 2 LED bulb & One Fan out of CFC & SFC which provided comfort to the Kids studying in the AWCs under the sub-theme “Right to Hygienic Education”.
All AWCs of GP have been provided with Water Filter for safe drinking water facility to Kids under the sub-theme “Right to Drinking water facility”.
Five AWC per GP have been provided with LPG connection with 2 Cylinder under the sub-theme “Right to Hygienic Food to Kids”.
Four Primary Schools per GP have been provided with Bench & Desk under the subtheme “Right to Hygienic Education” to School going students.
Four “Ama Gaon Chandini” per GP have been constructed under the sub-theme “Right to Sheltered community space”.
Roof Top Rain Water Harvesting-Cum-Storage Structures have been constructed out of MGNREGA by all the beneficiaries under Rural Housing scheme to recharge the water table under the sub theme “Right to conservation of water”.
Recharge Pits have been installed out of MGNREGA near the tube wells to store the wastage water which recharge the water table directly under the sub theme “Right to conservation of water”.
Four Solar Dual Pump per GP have been installed, which mitigate the scarcity of drinking water under the sub-theme “Right to Drinking Water Facility”.
Two villages per GP have been provided with House hold drinking water facility (one Tap- one house) from the Solar Dual Pump out of CFC & SFC under the sub-theme “ Right to Drinking Water Facility”.
