Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik said that the fight against COVID-19 shall be easier if it is fought unitedly.
“Our good behaviour and some pleasant words with COVID patients shall ease their pain,” he said while calling upon to endear these people and fight the pandemic boldly.
Mr.Patnaik said that despite economic downturn caused by COVID-19, Odisha is on its way in achieving fiscal prudence.
“Focus on careful management of resources & strict adherence to fiscal discipline has helped the State prepare itself for growth post-Covid,” he added.
The Chief Minister said that Puri’s mesmerizing Golden Beach, the crown jewel of World Heritage City awaits visitors with its full glory.
He hoped that addition of Blue Flag standard, environmental friendly tourist amenities will add to the charm of the iconic beaches and further boost their tourism potential.
Mr.Patnaik also expressed satisfaction that Odisha’s architectural marvel --Krushi Bhavan-- has added another feather to its hat, emerging as People’s Choice Winner in Social Good category at the prestigious AZ Awards 20.
He dedicated this award to farmers and artisans of Odisha-- the inspiration behind design of this building.
Mr.Patnaik also congratulated IRS officer from Odisha and Principal Special Director of Enforcement Directorate Simanchala Dash on being appointed as Advisor to Executive Director of International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Washington DC and wished him the very best for this new responsibility.
He congratulated Odisha’s Rugby Star Sumitra Nayak on being selected to represent India at the Asia Rugby Unstoppable campaign.
Meanwhile, making best use of technology under 5T framework, State Government has issued a WhatsApp number to address queries related to COVID-19.
People under Home Isolation have been advised to follow the guidelines issued by Government and take the medicines regularly provided to them in home Isolation Kit and drink sufficient water and ORS.
Pregnant women and persons with comorbidity should maintain strict distance from the Covid patients.
As 80 per cent patients are asymptomatic, they should prefer Home Isolation while children should be counselled to remain in home isolation.
