Police Nabs Cattle Illegals


With State Police taking stern action against illegal transporters of cattle, Jiban Das Secretary People for Animals is a happy man today.

More than 50 Buffaloes transported illegally to West Bengal for slaughter seized by Begunia Police.

The transporter violating all the transport rules under PCA Act 1960 and Motor vehicle Act nabbed by police, pointed Mr.Das.

The Buffaloes loaded on a big container like goods and many are injured and suffocated condition unloaded by People for Animals and Dhyan Foundation team with the help of police.

The driver has been arrested and the vehicle seized, while others in the vehicle managed to escaped.

 Police regularly seized the cattle handed over to People for Animals and Dhyan Foundation for their upkeep.

However support is not forthcoming from the State Government for their care and maintenance for which PFA is facing lot of problem. 

Mr.Das has requested the State Government to look into this matter seriously and urgently for the well-being of Animals so that they can thrive in difficult times.
