OSBC Contributes 5 CR

Odisha State Beverages Corporation (OSBC), a State PSU contributed Rs. Five Crore to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF).

Sushil Kumar Lohani, Chairman OSBC chaired a meeting, which took the gravity of the situation in the wake of outbreak of Novel Corona Virus (COVID-19) across the Globe and decided to contribute to CMRF.

So as a responsible PSU of the State, it decided to contribute Rs.5 Crore to the CMRF.

OSBC has contributed to CMRF to augument the efforts of the State Government for containment of COVID-19 from spreading, said a Press Release of OSBC.
 
Earlier during month of May, 2019, when Odisha wrestled with aftermath of Very Severe Cyclonic Storm-FANI, OSBC had contributed Rs.5 Crore to CMRF for relief and restoration work of the State and during the month of January, 2020, OSBC again contributed Rs.5 Crore to CMRF.

This apart, OSBC has deposited Rs.8.99 Crore as Dividend to the Government of Odisha for the Financial Year 2018-29.

As Odisha wrestles with the deadly virus, a host of government and private enterprises and individuals continue to pour in financial contributions to the CMRF.
