MSME Fair Curtains Down

Curtain came down on the Eighth Edition of Odisha Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) International Trade Fair at Exhibition Ground here on Sunday.

Principal Secretary MSME & Industries, Hemant Sharma took initiatives for making MSME Trade Fair scripting success.
 
The event with the theme of 'Focus MSME @ 2020' is being organized by MSME Department through Directorate of Industries, Directorate of Export, Promotion and Marketing and Odisha Small Industries Corporation (OSIC).

More than 350 MSMEs, including 20 entrepreneurs from Iran and 12 entrepreneurs from Bangladesh, participated in the 5-day event.
Seminars on different topics on food processing and agriculture were organized during the fair in which experts shared their opinions on the opportunities available with the state government for the entrepreneurs.
 
State MSME Department Additional Secretary UN Das presided over the closing ceremony of the trade fair.
 
Successful entrepreneurs who displayed their products in the fair were awarded on the occasion. NSIC’s Technology Park was the main attraction of the fair.
 
About four lakh visitors witnessed the event and the fair has made business to the tune of Rs 3.5 crore.
