State Asks Central Team

Odisha Government will request the Union Government to send a Central Team for damage assessment due to Very Severe Cyclone Bulbul.

Chief Secretary Asit Tripathy in his twitter handle has said “Updated the central govt about the status of damage in coastal districts at a VC this afternoon. We will request the Home Min to send a central team for damage assessment at the earliest.”

Earlier Mr.Tripathy held Video Meet with Cabinet Secretary Rajiv Gauba and apprised him about the situation in Odisha.

Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) Pradeep Jena and Principal Secretary Agriculture Saurabh Garg and other senior officers were present in the VC.

Earlier in the morning Chief Secretary Mr.Tripathy visited IMD
 Bhubaneswar and held discussion with Director HR Biswas on movement of Bulbul.
