CESU Bags Best Award


Distribution Major, Central Electricity Supply Undertaking (CESU) has been adjudged the best performing DISCOM in State.

 
Energy Minister Dibya Shankar Mishra presented the trophy and Certificate of Merit to the DISCOM in a glittering ceremony organized here on Thursday.
 
CEO Md Sadique Alam received the trophy and  merit certificate from the Minister at the function in the presence of Energy Secretary Hemant Sharma.
 
Notably, CESU has turned around with a cash profit of Rs. 41 crore through AT & C loss reduction resulting in additional revenue collection of Rs. 284 crores with an annual turnover of Rs. 3367 crore.
 
During this period CESU has made rapid strides in improvement in  customers services , revenue improvement, providing multiple payment modes for the benefit of electricity consumers, developing public awareness on electricity,  achieving  100 per cent household  electrification and successful implementation of various government schmes such as Soubhagya , IPDS , DDUGJY , R APDRP . BGJY etc.
 
Both the Minister and Secretary lauded the performance of CESU. CESU CEO Mr.Alam worked very hard during FANI and aftermath in the Super Storm, which has been appreciated by the Decision Makers in the Government.
 
The meeting was attended by all the senior officials from OERC, WESCO , NESCO , SOUTHCO , CESU , OPTCL and GRIDCO
