Power Connect On Fast Track

State Government is making all out efforts to restore power supply in FANI hit zones as the restoration has been fast tracked, said Sanjay Kumar Singh, Secretary Information & Public Relations.

According to Mr.Singh on Tuesday, 71867 consumers of CDD-1 have been given electricity supply which is 100 per cent while 50000 of 69031 consumers of CDD-2 have been provided with power supply as on Wednesday.
Out of 95599 rural and urban consumers of CED 48230 consumers have been provided electricity as of now.
In BCDD-1 all 58,742 consumers have been provided power supply by Wednesday.
Out of 1,47,531 consumers of urban and rural areas of BCDD-2, 1,18,778 consumers have been restored connectivity.
Similarly out of 1,09,984 consumers of rural and urban areas BED, 93,841 consumers have been restored power connection. As a result 81 per cent of BCDD-2 and 85% of BED have got power connection.

There is a remarkable development in telecommunication and mobile services by continuous endeavour.

As much as 74 per cent mobile towers in Khurda, 45 pc in Puri and 84 pc in Cuttack district have been made functional.

Similarly, 76pc in Bhubaneswar, 38pc in Puri and 85pc in Cuttack city have been made operational.

Nearly 10 Airtel Cell on Wheel (CoW) are working at Badadanda, Collectorate, Swargadwar, Gundicha temple, Chakrathirtha road, Bus stand and Sarvodaya Nagar, Dolamandap Sahi, Balighat, Pokharia, Balia Panda/Harichandi, Puri. 

Earlier 03 Jio CoWs with 4G service are functioning at Collectorate, Medical square and railway station, Puri. One Vodafone CoW is radiating from Puri temple. So in total 14 CoWs are functional in puri town.

Out of 99 Telephone Exchanges in Khordha 93 Telephone Exchanges are working, while in Puri 31 telephone exchanges out of 41 have become functional. Out of 77 telephone exchanges in Cuttack 100 per cent are functioning. Free SMS service is continuing on Wednesday.
Out of 222 bank branches in Puri district 180 are functioning which is 81.08pc.
Similarly out of 275 ATMs in Puri 75 are made functional, which is 27.27pc. Out of 657 branches in Khurda 642 are functioning, which is 97.72pc. Out of 1184 ATMs in the district 731 are functioning, which is 61.74pc.
In Cuttack distict out of 394 branches 390 are made operational, which is 98.98%. Out of 574 ATMs 387 are functioning normally in the district which is 67.42%.
96.34pc of bank branches in Jagatsinghpur district are functional as on today, ie. Oout of 164 branches 158 are functioning.Out of 189 ATMs 134 are functioning in Jagatsinghpur, which is 70.90pc.
In Ganjam district out of 429 branches 427 are made operational, which is 99.53pc. Out of 522 ATMs 510 are functioning normally in the district which is 97.70pc.
In Kendrapara district out of 138 branches all 138 are made operational, which is 100pc. Out of 171 ATMs 137 are functioning normally in the district which is 80.12pc.
Besides this, 7 banks have also placed the services of 13 numbers of mobile ATMs/Mobile vans for withdrawal of cash in different cyclone affected areas in Puri district (Odisha Gramya Bank-4, UCO Bank-3, ICICI Bank-2, Allahabad Bank-1, Andhra Bank-1, Bank of India-1, Axis Bank-1).
