Balabhdra Leaves BJD

Unable to meet BJD Supremo and ventilate his grievances, Member of Parliament (MP) from Nabarangpur, Balabhdra Mahji has left the Governing Party in frustration.

Mr.Majhi, who trounced Congress Heavyweight, Pradeep Majhi during 2014 Lok Sabha Polls is a totally broken person as his audience with Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik is blocked and now he knows that he will not be repeated as BJD Candidate for 2019 Polls.
So Mr.Majhi resigned from the party on 14 March after claiming that he was "Ignored and Cheated".
"I have tendered my resignation from the Primary Membership of the BJD as I felt ignored, neglected and cheated. I presumed the party no more requires me," Tribal Leader said.
Mr.Majhi told Media that was unable to meet Chief Minister and BJD president Naveen Patnaik and submitted the resignation letter to CM’s Political Secretary, Gopabandhu Dash.
"Somewhere, a gap has developed between I and you .. may be designed by some persons envious of my achievements," Mr.Majhi said in his resignation letter to the BJD Boss.
Over joining another political party, Mr. Majhi said he is yet to think about it and a decision in this regard will be taken after consulting his supporters and people of Nabarangpur.
To a query, Majhi said the BJD is "no longer functioning in a democratic manner" as party positions are being filled through selection and not election.
The sudden move by the Lawmaker comes apparently after indications that he may be denied party ticket to contest the Lok Sabha Elections as Minister SC & ST Development Ramesh Majhi is seen as the new candidate of BJD for Nabarangpur.
Mr.Majhi said that he was kept out of discussions and deliberations in the organization and left out
Feeling dejected over such an embarrassment the young tribal leader said "Before the last general elections, I was lured into the party to contest the Lok Sabha polls. I had sacrificed about seven years of service."
"Now, I presume that I am no more required for the party .. I have no grudge against you," the Nabarangpur MP said describing Mr.Patnaik as a great political leader who will continue to inspire him.
He also thanked the Chief Minister for extending help and guidance for implementation of a number of projects in Nabarangpur in infrastructure and social sector.
