Lawmakers Meet Open

All the Delegates from the Odisha Legislative Assembly today attended the National Legislators Conference held here.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi digitally inaugurated the Conference in the Central Hall of Parliament House here.

Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan has initiated the two days long Conference.

This is a platform to provide the lawmakers from across the country to share their experiences, to learn from each other’s success stories.

with positive deliberations it will develop a perspective on developmental issues on the lines of sustainable development.

The event will include a plenary session on the theme ‘We For Development’ and two working sessions on Role of Legislators in Development Process and Optimum Utilisation of Resources in Development. 

The concluding session will be chaired by Minister Road Transport & Highways Nitin Gadkari while Vice President of India M Venkaiah Naidu will address the valedictory session in the Central Hall on 11 March.


Union Cabinet Ministers, Chief Ministers, Ministers of State of the Union, Presiding Officers of State Legislatures, Members of Parliament and Members of State Legislatures attended the event.


According to sources, the Conference offers special opportunity to those Delegates whose constituencies have greater possibilities and aspirations of development.
