Naveen Assures Stern Action


Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today assured stern action against those who vandalized the official residence of his Private Secretary VK Pandian on Saturday.


His assurance came when a large delegation of representatives from various organizations met him here.

The Chief Minister later told Media, “Associations from all over the State have given me petitions regarding the unfortunate incident. Appropriate action will be taken.”

The Associations included Indian Administrative Service, Odisha Police Service, Odisha Administrative Service, Odisha Financial Service, Odisha Information Service and Odisha Revenue Service, Odisha Secretariat Service, Heads of Department Employees Association, Odisha PA & Private Secretary Association, Odisha Constable Federation.

Similarly Non-gazetted Officers’ Coordination Committee, Ministerial Officers’ Association, Nursing Staff Association, Non-gazetted Forest Service Association, Multipurpose Health Workers Association, Radiographer Service Association, Famacist Association, Draghtsman Association , Malaria Laboratory Technicians Association, Multipurpose Health Supervisors Association, Aboriculture Assocition, Low-paid Secretariat Employees’ Association, Agriculture Overseers Association, Cooks Assciation, High School Teachers’ Association, Veterinary Association,  Revenue Clerks’ Association, Statistical Association and Odisha Planning Officers Association Members met the Chief Minister Mr.Patnaik here in State Secretariat.

The Delegation of IAS Officers also met Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi and  submitted a memorandum in this regard.

Later the IAS Association Members also met ACS Home, Suresh Chandra Mohapatra and urged for stringent action.

Notably, the IAS Association had convened an Emergency Meeting on Sunday to discuss and condemn the incident.

Odisha Information Service Officers Association has also condemned the vandalism allegedly by activist of the BJP.
