Team Spirit Smooths Jatra

Chief Secretary Asit Tripathy was happy to conduct Crucial Day One Rath Jatra in the most disciplined manner within few hours of Supreme Court of India allowing the same.

Thanks to dedicated Servitors of Shree Jagannath Temple and most disciplined people of Holy City Puri, all the three chariots of the Trinity reached Shree Gundicha Temple before time.

This Rath Jatra was Unique from various points as there were hardly any elaborate preparations conducted earlier due to Novel Corona Virus (COVID-19) Pandemic Outbreak.

However the State Administration was able to organize the same within 12 hours of the Apex Court allowing the Annual Rath Jatra.

The Team could convince the People of Puri about the importance of discipline to be maintained during Rath Jatra.

Servitors were determined to conduct Rath Jatra in a disciplined manner and People of Puri were very happy to see the Lord Jagannath on the Nandighosh Chariot through their Television Channels.

Even not a single person came up to their own rooftop to see the Chariots being pulled on the Gran Road and this was such a level of discipline, which was unheard of in the Holy City.

After Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik asked Chief Secretary Mr.Tripathy to rush to Puri for conducting Rath Jatra, he along with DGP Abhay are camping here since 22 June afternoon.

Be it Bhadrakh Firing or Immediate Rath Jatra Arrangements, Chief Secretary Mr.Tripathy is at the forefront of action, pointed out a senior Minister, who is camping at Puri.

And he provides the required leadership and dynamism to save a critical situation, said he.

ACS Disaster Management Pradeep Jena, Chief Administrator SJTA, Krishan Kumar, District Collector Balwant Singh, ADG Law and Order Saumendra Kumar Priyadarshi, SP Puri Uma Shankar Das worked in a Team Spirit and result was obvious.

From the wee hours of 23 June, Chief Secretary Mr.Tripathy and his team moved in the city to see the arrangements of security and to ensure that people do not rush to Grand Road to see their Lord on Chariot.

In fact for more than 100 days, they have not seen their Lord as temple was closed and it was an emotive issue.

However fervent appeal by Puri Maharaja Gajapati Dibyasingha Dev and Chief Secretary Asit Tripathy yielded positive results.

People of their own cooperated with the District Administration and they saw to it movement of chariots were not disturbed at all.

So all the Chariots reached Shree Gunidcha Shrine before time giving enormous relief to the State Administration, which seen as an Act of God.

Chief Secretary Mr.Tripathy gave Special Thanks to Chief Administrator,SJTA, RDC, DM, SP of Puri for their sincere efforts.

Chief Administrator SJTA, Krishan Kumar was  very happy for smooth sailing of Day One of Rath Jatra.

So Dr.Kumar announced rewards for the dedicated Servitors, who worked with all dedication and love for the Lord.

All of them will receive Rs.5000 Cash Award for their dedicated service, announced Dr.Kumar.

It is the Team Spirit smooths Rath Jatra, feel observers.
