Miracle Via 1st Servitor

Some people call it Miracle and others describe it as the Grace of God.

The Supreme Court of India which put a stay on the Annual Ratha Jatra of Lord Jagannath in Puri on 18 May, modified its stay order and allowed to hold the festival with certain conditions on 22 June.

Now, there should be no doubt that the chariots will roll on Grand Road.

But, how it was possible?

Is it due to Prime Minister Narendra Modi or Union Home Minister Amit Shah or the prayer of the lakhs of people across the state and also in India?

On 18 June, immediately after the Apex Court verdict came, all including opposition BJP and Congress, said they should accept the Supreme Court Order and therefore no Ratha Jatra this year due to COVID-19 Pandemic.

Even Thakur Raja Dibyasingha Deb also said that all should respect the Supreme Court Verdict.

The public posture taken by the opposition parties and the Gajapati  led to frustration among the lakhs of people who feeling helpless sought Lord Jagannath’s intervention.

“Mahaprabhu, You do something,” was the appeal of one and all as a common man had no power to challenge the mighty Governments in the State as well as in the Centre.

Finally, the ice broke by none other than the First Servitor of the Lord—Gajapati Maharaja Dibyasingha Deb.

A mild, soft spoken and suave Gajapati, who the previous night said that all should abide by the Supreme Court of India and did not even make an idea of seeking modification in the June 18 order, came out of deep slumber.

The soft spoken Raja suddenly emerged energetic and could openly dare to find fault with the State Government’s approach in the Apex Court for which the Top Court put a stay on the Ratha Jatra.

This is not all, the Raja also said that the State Government instead of defending the Managing Committee and allow it to hold Ratha Jatra, gave statistics which went against the Lord’s Annual Sojourn.

For which, the Supreme Court put a stay!.

These words of the Raja spread like wild fire in the State and also across the country making the people at the helm utterly surprised.

The people, who have seen and dealt with the soft spoken Gajapati were also spell bound. How could this Gentleman could make such a strong statement?

This is probably the Miracle of Lord Lord Jagannath, who preferred His First Sevak to raise the Voice of Protest.

The Raja’s words were full of evidence for which people across the State accepted his argument.

Now, question arises, can a soft spoken person talks tough?

This is none other than Lord Jagannath Himself who, infused energy in the Thakura Raja and made him open up.

Now Gajapati has won hearts of Crores of people in the State and in the Country.

Then came, Saffron Stalwart and Union Minister Amit Shah, who carried forward the ball to the goal point !.

Shri Shah, a Lord Jagannath devotee suddenly realized that things are not in good shape in Odisha and lakhs of devotees are in trouble.

Without wasting time, he took up the matter with Prime Minister and rest is History.
