Mr.Mohapatra said the new normal for Travel and Tourism will be on five counts and Technology Interventions from now onward would play a major role in the Hospitality Industry.

He said that safety, hygiene, sanitization would determine travel decisions of the Guests and Brands will have to ensure adherence to the precautionary measures of the highest standards.

Brands will have to ensure these measures in their overall conduct in a manner to win the Guests as Certificate of Cleanliness from Local authorities would not be enough to convince the Guests, opined he.

Encouraging Minimal Contacts and Safe Distancing will endear Guests and any Guest will have more trust on a Brand that has installed automated minimal contact processes, said the Veteran in Hospitality Sector.

Mr.Mohapatra underscored the marketing Initiatives to be taken up by the Government and the Stakeholders.

He advised that  Campaign by State Tourism Corporations for attracting domestic tourists across the country is needed and each and every State should conduct Road Shows in major Indian Cities to attract domestic tourist.

While campaigning, emphasis to be given to promote the destinations in terms of social distancing, sanitization, contact less  services, hygiene , safety and security measures, which are being implemented keeping in view of COVID-19.

Mr.Mohapatra said the State Governments should come up with Hygiene Certificate for Travel agents, guides, transports, hotels, guest houses and home stays.

These issues are needed to be highlighted during Road Shows to be conducted by State Governments, said he.

A well thought out Incredible India campaign to be launched by the Union Government , said Mr.Mohapatra.
