Corona Exposure For IAS

 In order to have first hand exposure on handling Novel Corona Virus (COVID-19) Pandemic, young IAS officers of 2019 Batch will be sent to districts soon.

After having Phase I training at Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration(LBSNAA), six Probationer IAS officers are coming to the State in the next week, official sources said.

They are Aditya Goyal, Akshya Sunil Agarwal, Anya Das, Gaurav Shivaji Isalwar, Manoj Satyawan Mahajan and Pawar Sachin Prakash.

LBSNAA Administration has intimated Odisha Government in this regard as these officers will be relieved from the Academy on 8 May.

LBSNAA and Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT)  in the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and pension of Government of India is coordinating their movement as there are restrictions on Air Travel.

Resident Commissioner Odisha is in touch with LBSNAA and DoPT for smooth movement of these IAS Officers.

As COVID-19 Pandemic is there, so authorities thought it well to engaged these Probationer IAS officers to have a firsthand knowledge in working as it is taken up in all levels of the Administration.

Once these IAS officers will reach Bhubaneswar, the State Government will finalize their movement to districts or they may be attached to the departments for having the first hand knowledge.

In fact IAS Officers of 2018 Batch are also engaged in COVID-19 Pandemic Control assignments in various Districts.

While their training period has just ended, due to lock down these IAS officers are not able to go to LBSNAA, Mussoorie.

So they are continuing to work for COVID-19 Control and having firsthand knowledge on the matter.
