Janata Curfew On Sunday

 Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing the nation on the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) spread, has announced a 'Janata (Public) Curfew' on Sunday (22March).

 This is an attempt to contain the spread of COVID-19, which has affected over 180 in India, Prime Minister Mr.Modi requested all the citizens to abide by the 'Janata Curfew' on 22 March from 7 AM to 9PM.

What is Janata Curfew: Here is how it will work

PM Mr.Modi urged all the citizens of the country to stay off the roads and public places on Sunday (March 22)

The Janata Curfew on Sunday will start at 7 AM and continue till 9 PM.

People working in essential services such as Police, Medical Services, Media, Home Delivery, Fire Services etc will remain exempt from the Janata Curfew.

At 5 PM, all the citizens are requested to encourage the people working in essential services, working in the times of coronavirus, by clapping and ringing their bells.

PM Mr.Modi said, "If possible, please call at least 10 people every day and tell them about the 'Janta Curfew' as well as the measures to prevent."
