Pradhan Favors Angul CTTC

Union Petroleum & Natural Gas and Steel Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has urged Union MSME Minister Nitin Gadkari to open an extension counter of the Central Tool Room & Training Centre (CTTC) in Angul.

In his letter Mr.Pradhan said CTTC Bhubaneshwar is among 10 Tool Rooms (TR) and Tool Design Institutes (TDI) in India with extension centers at Jajpur and Rayagada.

These extension counters have played an instrumental role in supporting the development of small-scale industries and up skilling of technical manpower and creation of employment prospects in these regions, Mr.Pradhan pointed out.

He said an extension counter in Angul, which is a major industrial hub in Odisha, will provide affordable long- & short-term training programmes for the manpower in the region and facilitate design, development and manufacturing of quality tools/components and provide project consultancy to the many small-scale industries operating around Angul region.

Union Minister said the TRs and TDIs set up by the MSME-DO provide production, design, consultancy and training facilities to small scale industries.
