Early Release Of Food Grains

State Government has decided to distribute Rice, Wheat, and Kerosene to all the beneficiaries under National Food Security and State Food Security in an advance manner from 1 April.

VV Yadav, Secretary Food, Supplies and Consumer Welfare has written to the District Collectors to complete all preparatory arrangements within next 7 (seven) days time so that distribution will start from 1 April 2020.

Due to Novel Corona Virus (COVID-19) scare, the Department of Food Supplies and
Consumer Welfare has decided to distribute Rice, Wheat, & SK Oil to 3.26 crore beneficiaries under National Food Security Act and 4.50 lakh beneficiaries under State Food Security Scheme through Public Distribution System, for April, May and June 2020, from 1 April to 15 May 2020.

Beneficiaries have been given an window period of 45 days to collect their 3 months' Ration and SK Oil entitlements in staggered manner, so as to avoid rush at the Fair Price Shops in the wake of ongoing Corona virus threat.

Since Corona Virus is contagious in nature, food grains shall be distributed to PDS beneficiaries through e-PoS devices.

There will be no use of any type of bio-metric scanning through either finger print scanner or IRIS scanner attached to the e-PoS.
