COVID-19 Control Advise

 
Hemant Sharma, Principal Secretary Industries and MSME has advised people to wash hands frequently and remain healthy, while reducing chances of Novel Corona Virus (COVID-19) attack.

 Mr.Sharma advised to wash hands with soap and water, avoid large gatherings, avoid handshakes and avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth
 
Principal Secretary was briefing Media on Advisory issued on COVID-19 here on 14 March.

He said people should practice respiratory hygiene by covering mouth and nose with handkerchief/ tissue which should be disposed off properly.

He said if anyone you know has fever, cough and difficulties in breathing, ask him/her to seek medical advice.
Principal Secretary said in order to check the shortages and black-marketing, Government of India has declared masks and hand sanitizers as essential commodities under Essential Commodities Act up to June 30, 2020.
Under the Essential Commodities Act, State will take action if anybody found to charge more than the MRP.
He said the State Government has utilized the enabling provision for infectious disease management as provided under Epidemic Diseases Act, 1897.
Under this provision, District Collectors and Municipal Commissioners have been empowered to take steps on containment of COVID-19.
In Rural Areas, Gram Panchayats and Urban Zones, Municipal Authorities are empowered to report about any person, recently returned from foreign countries.
They will report to the State Government in this regard, said Mr.Sharma. Director health Services, Bijaya Kumar Mahapatra and Joint Director Information and Public Relations,Barada Prasanna Das were present.
He informed that the State Government will form a Technical Advisory Committee in which Senior Scientists, AIIMS Director and other Experts will be Members to advise the State Government to curb COVID-19.
