New Plan For Taratarini

The Day when Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced establishment of Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Trust, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik  approved the redevelopment plan of the periphery of Maa Taratarini Temple in Ganjam. 

Expressing his happiness over the development plan, the Chief Minister Mr.Patnaik directed to complete the development work in time. In fact it will be completed before time as an ardent devotee of Mata is pursuing the matter, said a priest of the shrine.
Recently a committed devotee of Maa Taratarini, Five T Secretary VK Pandian visited the shrine and talked to priests, devotees and local people on the issue of development of Mata Temple.
As District Collector of Ganjam, Mr.Pandian had been instrumental in bringing in large scale improvement of the Shakti Pitha and Mata was placed in the new temple.
Now with the demand of the people, Chief Minister has approved the redevelopment plan, which  includes renovation of Singhadwar Entrance with Pilgrim Amenities, Path way with drinking water facilities, Hilltop temple premises development which includes Prasad Sevan Mandap, Interpretation Centre, Mundan Hall and Public Toilet.

There will be many new additions which include Prasad Sevan Hall
Interpretation Centre, Meditation Centre Rest Area, Food Kiosk, Drinking Water, Shoe Stand, Foot Wash, Waiting Area, Barrier Free Accessibility, Seating Benches, Rest Shed, Watch Tower, Police Outpost, First Aid Centreetc.

There will be one Meditation Hall and view point over the hill top behind the temple.

The Temple is one of the oldest Shakti Pithas of India and it will be developed keeping in view the Odisha style of architecture.

The presentation was made by Narayan Tripathy of
Nesters, a leading architect. The design aims at making it one of the most attractive religious tourist sites of the country.

Among others, Chief Advisor CMO, R Balkrishnan, ACS Rural Development, PK Jena, Principal Secretary Water Resource Surendra Kumar, Five T Secretary, VK Pandian, Works Secretary, Krishan Kumar were present.
Ganjam Collector, Viajay Amruta Kulange and other senior officers of the district were present.
