Expansion For Bhadrakh Hospital

The District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) in Bhadrak will get a new look soon with addition of new complex, more beds, and rest sheds for patients’ attendants.

The Odisha Government has taken such measures basing on the feedback received from the public and discussion with the doctors during the ‘Mo Sarkar’ team’s visit to the district recently.
 
On 10 December, V Karthikeya Pandian, Secretary to Chief Minister 5T, Development Commissioner Suresh Chandra Mahapatra, Special Secretary Health & Family Welfare Shalini Pandit visited the DHH Bhadrakh.
 
5T Team talked to patients and their attendants and felt the need of expansion of the Hospital facilities.
 
Now Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has taken a decision in this regard.
 
As per the decision, a new seven-storey DHH Complex will be constructed to provide better and healthcare service to the public. The new complex will have 300 beds. The government has decided to increase the bed numbers in the DHH from 191 at present to 300 as an interim measure.
 
This apart, a Rest shed will be constructed at a cost of Rs 20 lakh for the attendants of the patients. Besides, the parking area in the DHH premises would be developed for the convenience of the patients and their attendants. More counters would also be opened for OPD registration.
 
The Patients’ Welfare Committee of the Bhadrak District Headquarters Hospital would receive assistance to the tune of Rs 15 lakh  from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund
