HDFC Promotes Hygiene


Hand washing with soap is generally easy and relatively cheap, and the medical evidence of its benefits is conclusive.


And Hand washing brings significant reduction in diarrhea and respiratory illnesses in children.
 


So HDFC Bank promotes the cause of good hygiene and sanitation practices in the community through its CSR Initiatives.


Towards this end, HDFC Bank distributed portable hand wash stations to 100 schools of Dhenkanal district as part of HDFC Bank’ CSR activity..

An Officials Ceremony for handing over hand wash stations was organized and Senior lawmaker, Sudhir Kumar Samal and District Magistrate, Bhumesh Chandra Behera graced the occasion.

District Education Officer and Block Education Officer were present in the hand wash handing over ceremony.

This activity was taken up in association with Mid Day Meal Scheme and HDFC Bank.

District Collector, Mr.Behera said very good initiative by HDFC BANK.

He said such an innovative initiative is needed to be extended to all the Districts across the State.

Lawmaker Mr.Samal said this is a part of Swachh Bharat Mission and before taking Mid Day Meal (MDM) children should wash their hands using this tool before taking mid day meal.

Though students want to wash their hands before taking MDM, there was no such facilities available for them.

HDFC Bank Cluster Head Tapas Saha addressed the meeting, while apprising about details of different CSR activities of Bank.

The successful program was well conducted by Satyaranjan Dash and Chetan Das, Asutosh Mohanty, who worked relentlessly to make this program a success.
